Nepal Maharishi Foundation for Vedic Culture 14 T he Gurukuls in Nepal provide, in an unbroken tradition, years of training in Vedic Yagya and proficiently in the Sanskrit language, which is required for the successful performance of a Yagya. Nepal is home to over 500 Gurukuls. Since 2012 the NMFVC has implemented the Maharishi Pandit Training Programme in 56 Gurukuls throughout Nepal. These Pandits also perform daily the Rudrabhishek Yagya daily for world peace and prosperity. In addition to the scholastic requirements of the Vedic Education in the Gurukuls, effective performance of a Yagya requires the integrated functioning of the heart and mind of the Ve- dic Pandit so as to allow the Pandit the ability to contact and perform the Yagya while estab- lished in the Transcendental Field of all the Laws of Nature—Yoga. For this, as noted above, the Pandits are trained in the practice of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique and its advanced TM-Sidhi pro- gramme, which refines and enlivens the aware- ness of each Pandit, making him capable to function effectively from the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature. So it is through the practice of Yoga, the Tran- scendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi pro- gramme, combined with the practice of Yagya, that the full potentiality of human life can be most effectively developed. Since the implementation of this programme in the 56 Gurukuls, the students and com- munities have been enjoying many benefits in their lives. The Maharishi Pandit Training programme has also received great apprecia- tion and support from the Gurukul and com- munity leaders, and renowned Gurus both in Nepal and India.
